Services

Training is an activity that we do with our dogs, not to our dogs. My methods are positive and reward-based so you and your dog will enjoy learning.

Classes, private lessons and behavior sessions are held in my studio which is conveniently located just south of Chapel Hill in north Chatham. On-line Zoom lessons are also available.

Private Lessons

One on one lessons tailored to meet your dog's needs.  We will work on basic skills as well as minor issues such as jumping and barking.

1 hour lesson for $60 or a package of 3 for $150.

Classes

Group classes are a great way for your dog to learn obedience skills in the presence of distractions.  Class sizes are small, 4-6 dogs, so you still get individual attention. Classes that I offer include:

Puppy Kindergarten

Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Family Dog Classes

Three week one topic classes - Impulse Control, Polite Greetings, Recall, Loose Leash Walking.

Specialty classes - Tricks and Games, Rally, Canine Freestyle and Therapy Dog Preparation.

Check the Class Schedule for start dates and times and prices.

Classes are for people and dog friendly dogs.  If your dog is reactive or aggressive with dogs or people, please contact me to arrange a behavior session.

Behavior Problem Sessions

I work with dogs who have anxiety, reactivity to dogs and/or people, resouce guarding and separation anxiety.

The first visit will take 1 1/2-2 hours and will include taking a detailed history of your dog, behavior screening, development of a behavior modification program and training you to practice with your dog. $150.

Followup visits are 1 hour  $60.

Day School

Day School is a combination of play and training.  Dogs must be 6 months of age or older, well socialized as well as house trained and crate trained. I carefully supervise dogs during play and each dog gets 2 short training sessions/day.

I take a limited number of dogs on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  $40/day
